Buyers guide to cheap laptop and cheap notebook computers

A laptop computer (also referred to as laptop, or notebook computer, or notebook) is a small portable personal computer. They normally weigh from one to five kilograms, with the weight dependent on factors including size, build materials, included accessories and options. The terms “notebook” and “laptop” can be used interchangeably when referring to portable computers.

Laptops contain similar components to desktop computers and can be used for the same purposes, but are miniaturized and optimized for portability and efficiency of power use. Generally a laptop is less powerful than a desktop computer of an equivalent price.

The advantage of notebook computers is that they are versatile and portable. In the last few years laptops have become more popular due to increases in processing power and features, along with corresponding decreases in price.
